Gingerbread House Workshop
Sunday, December 10

The Natrona County Library will hold a Gingerbread House Workshop on Sunday, December 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. Families and individuals may stop by at their leisure between 2 and 4 p.m. to build and decorate gingerbread houses out of graham crackers, frosting and candy. Attendees will be seated on a first come, first served basis. Seating is limited to 50 people at a time. The event is free and open to the public. All building materials and decorations will be provided at no cost.

Photo Editing with GIMP
Monday, December 11

The Natrona County Library will offer a Photo Editing class on Monday, December 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Learn how to use GIMP, a free and powerful alternative to Photoshop, during this extended three-hour class. Basic concepts for photo editing (or manipulation) will be covered, including how to color correct an image, adjust the levels, adjust the hue and saturation, sharpen the image, tweak the brightness and contrast, and add a vignette. Tween Cooking Club: Thumbprint Cookies

The Natrona County Library's Tween Cooking Club will meet on Monday, December 11 at 4 p.m. Using powdered sugar, butter and crushed pretzels, students in grades 4-6 will make no-bake peanut butter thumbprint cookies topped with yummy strawberry jam. Never Too Old Book Club: Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

A book discussion of young adult novel "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" by Becky Albertalli will be held on Tuesday, December 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Crescent Moon Coffee Stop. The Never Too Old Book Club, sponsored by the Natrona County Library, discusses young adult literature with adult appeal. The group is open to both teens and adults, with parent-teen pairs especially encouraged. After School at the Library: Mini Snow Globes

The Natrona County Library will host a winter wonderland craft program for elementary-age students on Wednesday, December 13 at 4 p.m. Using twine, buttons, glitter, trinkets and plastic glasses, students will create mini snow globes to hang on their trees. The Natrona County Library will offer a Computer Maintenance class on Friday, December 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. Learn how to keep a computer running smoothly by performing regular maintenance functions such as updates, defragmenting the computer's hard drive and clearing its cache periodically. The Natrona County Library's Family LEGO Club will meet on Saturday, December 16 at 1 p.m. Family LEGO Club is a great way to have fun, relax, and spend time together, making this the perfect family activity. The Library will supply a large amount of LEGOs and ideas of what can be created. Family LEGO Club is held the third Saturday of every month. An afternoon book discussion, sponsored by the Natrona County Library, will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. at Metro Coffee Co.Participants will discuss "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle. The group is open to teensin grades 7-8, and new members are always welcome.
