Author George Trojan will discuss his memoir, "Too Young for the Times," on Tuesday, January 16 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Natrona County Library. Trojan will recount his time living as a young man in Poland and Germany during WWII.The talk is free and open to the public. Copies of Trojan's memoir will be available for purchase, which he will sign following his talk. After School at the Library: FrankenScience

IT'S ALIVE…and it doesn't take a mad scientist to conclude that it'sabnormallyincredible! Frankenstein's monster is turning 200-years-old in 2018, and the Natrona County Library is hosting an electrifyinglaboratory program for elementary-age students on Wednesday, January 17 at 4 p.m. Participants will be amazed and entertained with hands-on, mad science experiments that Igor himself would beware! The History of Wyoming's Carnegie Libraries

The Alliance for Historic Wyoming is celebrating Carnegie libraries around Wyoming with a traveling exhibit.The exhibit, which consists of five panels detailing the history and architecture of Wyoming's sixteen Carnegie libraries, will be on display at the Natrona County Library January 4 through February 15. The public is invited to view the exhibit and attend a lecture on Wednesday, January 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Barbara Bogart, a volunteer with the Alliance for Historic Wyoming, will detail the history of Carnegie Libraries in Wyoming, including the story of Natrona County's Carnegie library. The lecture and exhibit are sponsored in part by a grant from the Wyoming Humanities Council. The Cowboy Carnegies campaign is part of the Alliance for Historic Wyoming's "This Place Matters" program, highlighting the importance of preserving historic buildings and oral history accounts of historic places and spaces in Wyoming. An afternoon book discussion, sponsored by the Natrona County Library, will be held on Saturday, January 20 at 2 p.m. at Metro Coffee Co.Participants will discuss "All's Faire in Middle School" by Victoria Jamieson.
