Casper Chamber Members, in their own words, on the value of Committee Involvement
“As a board member I felt it is very important to contribute to one of the committees. The Gov’t Affairs appeared to have the most benefit to my company, and I was interested in becoming more informed about WY Government. By being a member of the Government Affairs Committee, I get a “heads up” on proposed legislation, and I can give input on how it may affect my business. I think the best part about being a member of the Government Affairs Committee is that it gives me and my business great access to legislators through our Chamber luncheons and Bar-B-Qs, and the opportunity to review and submit questions for these events. I would tell anyone interested in joining the Government Affairs Committee, that if you want to learn about how the WY State Government operates and be in the forefront of upcoming legislation, this is the committee for you!”
