This week is National Chamber of Commerce Week. It’s celebrated around the United States by small and large chambers alike and your local Casper Area Chamber will join in the recognition and fun.
Although much of our work is done behind the scenes, our staff and volunteers are routinely involved in many areas of the community that help it thrive. In the Casper area, this includes business development, business recruitment and retention, education and workforce development, community betterment, and Governmental advocacy among others. We work to support the growth of our nearly 1,100 members while helping to build a more prosperous and sustainable community. Belonging to the chamber extends to more than just what the chamber can do for your business. Belonging means you need to participate as well. It’s a two-way street, and we want you to work with us so we can better serve you.
During National Chamber of Commerce Week, we will be hosting several events in honor of all of our wonderful members. On Wednesday, September 14th Secretary of State Ed Murray will join us for our first annual State of the State Monthly Luncheon at the Casper Petroleum Club. Mr. Murray will give us all the details on 2016 achievements and what’s in store for the Equality State in 2017. On Thursday, September 15th, we are hosting Business After Hours at Granite 550!
Becoming a member involves what the chamber can do for the entire community, and what that can then mean for your business. If your community is stagnant, and not growing, then your business will stop growing too. It’s important that people outside of our community realize that Natrona County is the place to live, work and play. We want people to build their businesses here, move their families here, and to come here for enjoyment. We also want people INSIDE the community to realize that the Casper Area is the place for business, enjoyment and a fantastic way of life.
We share the news of our community and our members in many ways. We write about it online in blogs, social media, articles in newspapers and national magazines, on the television, at speaking engagements, and during city and county meetings, to name a few. Our active Chamber members talk about it when they visit other communities, when they do business out of town and when they go on vacation. That’s what your Chamber and its members do for you. We believe in Natrona County and its businesses. It’s our mission to provide economic development and growth for businesses contact us at www.casperwyoming.org or 307-234-5311 to become a part of this special group of businesses and individuals that believe in our community.
For those businesses that become a new member during this week, we will have a special gift for you, so join us and become a part of the Natrona County movers and shakers!
