LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

The Leadership Casper program provides monthly in-depth studies of specific topics as they relate to the community. These sessions include site visits, tours and interactive programs that provide participants with a better understanding of community issues with a greater respect for resources and services provided in the Casper community. Team building exercises and personality assessments round out the program.

LEADERSHIP BENEFITS

Leadership Casper will provide participants with both educational and participatory experiences with opportunities to meet community leaders and network with a wide array of people.

Leadership Casper consists of eight full-day sessions, beginning in late August and continuing through May. Sessions address topics related to community, state and region, designed to inform and educate Casper's leaders.

  • Participants grow both personally and professionally from their experiences in Leadership Casper.
  • Participants become better informed about community needs and resources.
  • Participants are encouraged to become more involved in the community and to contribute to community issues and events.
  • Participants will gain a network of friends and colleagues. These connections serve and support the community long after graduation from the program.
  • Participants are prepared to be better leaders in the community.

What Members Are Saying

Casper Chamber Members, in their own words, on the value of Committee Involvement

Conrrado Saldivar

Natrona County Public Library

“The most valuable thing about Leadership Casper is the fact that participating in group discussions has helped me to speak up at work. I also have a wider perspective of leaders in our community, which is very beneficial to library patrons. I have learned how to lead from the bottom to help my organization and community. The connections made through LC have allowed me to see how businesses and organizations are working to better our community. These connections, coupled with the Dale Carnegie training, allow for businesses and organizations to grow and succeed."

“The most beneficial thing about Leadership Casper was developing my leadership style/skills and applying them to my job. Being more aware of what I do as a leader, why, and how to improve. It doesn’t matter if you have had any leadership training before or if you're new to leadership position, everyone can learn valuable leadership skills and broaden their knowledge about our community."

"The most beneficial part about Leadership Casper for me, was the opportunity to enhance my leadership skills and show me things about Casper I didn’t know existed. The friends and contacts I have made through this program are valuable. I have been selling media for over 20 years and thought I knew it all when it comes to people skills, but I learned so much."
