Western Vista Federal Credit Union recently announced that they are a collection point for used solar eclipse glasses. The non-profit group, Astronomers Without Borders, recently announced an initiative to redistribute glasses to schools in Asia and South America, where there will be solar eclipses in 2019. Glasses collected by the credit union will be sent to Astronomers Without Borders in support of this effort.
Steven Leafgreen, president/CEO of the credit union, stated that Western Vista wanted to participate in this initiative as “it is supportive of science education for children and good for the environment."
Steven, Western Vista, and the Chamber hope that you're inspired to share your random acts of kindness with us. Just send a photograph and a short paragraph highlighting a few of your nominee's good points and a picture of them to Kim Coleman at the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce. Winners will be featured in the Chamber's Feel Good Friday E-Newsletter, on the Chamber website, AND on Social Media! You will be recognized as the submitter when published.
