The Casper Area Chamber of Commerce recently distributed a survey to the membership about what they would like to hear our Natrona County Legislators discuss at the Chamber's 2018 Legislative Outlook Luncheon. The following questions were based on the responses from that survey.
I did not run for this position to represent Democrats. I ran to represent the people living in my district. I plan to work collaboratively to develop a balanced budgets without applying large tax raises and without cutting programs that provide much needed services that our citizens rely on.
As I mentioned at the luncheon, I believe the most bill that is coming forward from the education committee that addresses economic development is the inclusion of computer science in the curriculum.
I addressed this question when I spoke. Briefly the issues include:
-Many more students with severe behaviors that disrupt learning so working with students behavior and learning needs.
-Helping all stakeholders to understand that changing times means that schools must look different from what school may have looked like when they were students.
