Casper, WY – The Casper Area Chamber of Commerce announces the appointment the election of two new members and three returning members of its Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2018.
Joining the Board of Directors are Katie Schultz and Casey Allison. “Both of our newest Board members embody the spirit of community and bring talent, expertise and energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to strengthen the business community in Natrona County. ”, Gilda Lara, Executive Director.
Katie Schultz is the Co-Owner and Vice President of AMBI Mail & Marketing, a mail house, print shop, and shipping and fulfillment center. Since joining the Chamber in 2005, AMBI has participated in numerous tradeshows and luncheons. Currently, Katie is a member of BNI (Business Network International), the SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management), and a participant of the 2017 – 2018 Leadership Casper Program. Katie takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond what is asked or expected. She is married and has three young children.
Casey Allison is the President of First Call Communications, a company specializing in voice/data cabling, business telephone systems, and surveillance. Casey currently participates in the Rotary Club of Casper and has sat on the Board of Directors for the Wyoming Herpetological Society. Casey will bring the experience of being the 2nd generation in the business and has encouraged many of her employees at First Call Communications to get further engaged and keep up to date with the Chamber’s weekly e-newsletters.
Members returning to the Board are Todd Druse of Black Hills Bentonite, Don Claunch of DL Enterprises, and Mike Burnett of the United Way of Natrona County. “Todd, Don, and Mike have brought valuable guidance and expertise to the Chamber board in the past, and we are extremely grateful they are returning, as we work together to continue to build a vibrant, prosperous business environment by providing integrated services and resources to members.” Gilda Lara, Executive Director.
Todd Druse is the Chief Financial Officer of Black Hills Bentonite, a bentonite mining, processing and sales company. With over 10 years in the mining industry and numerous community leadership roles, Todd provides the Chamber with a different perspective of ideas, financial activities, and experience. In previous years, Todd has volunteered as a coach for his children’s sports activities, served as a home owner’s association president, and as a member of the Department Interior Royalty Policy Committee.
Don Claunch is a consultant with more than 25 years of leadership experience covering a wide range of disciplines. Don retired in 2013 after serving as both a Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer for a large corporation. At that time, he was one of only 90 people to achieve the Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer designation. Throughout his career Don has also served as a Business Ethics Consultant and Advisor, Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist, Director of Finance, Director of Materials Management and Director of Financial Services. These varied assignments have given Don a thorough understanding of the operation and management functions within organizations. Prior to entering executive leadership, Don gained significant experience in finance working for a Wall Street firm and two regional investment companies.
Don is a native of Casper as is his wife Laura. He has dedicated his life and career in Wyoming. He has been an active community volunteer, and has served on a number of non-profit boards and currently serves on the boards of the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce and Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Wyoming. Don has taught in the Entrepreneur Program at Casper College. He has been a guest speaker at the CIO Executive Council.
Mike Burnett is the Executive Director of the United Way of Natrona County. Having been with the United Way of Natrona County for five years, he brought an extensive law enforcement background with him, having served 26 years with the Casper Police Department and Division of Criminal Investigation.
