Learn about the important role Betty Rogers played in her husband's success at the Fort Caspar Museum Association's Spring Lunch and Learn.
Casper, Wyoming (May 5, 2018) - The Fort Caspar Museum Association (FCMA) is pleased to announce its Spring Lunch and Learn program. It will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 19th and will feature a performance by husband and wife interpreters Rick and Mary Maturi as "Will Rogers and the Woman Behind the Wit."
Join the Maturis as they portray one of vaudeville and Hollywood's most famous couples, Will and Betty Rogers. Learn how Will Rogers became famous, and discover the little-known but integral part Betty played in his success.
Richard Maturi has authored scores of books and hundreds of articles, some of them in collaboration with his wife, Mary. They perform together around the region and live in the Laramie Range of the Wyoming Rocky Mountains.
An optional lunch will be served at 12:00 pm, followed by the presentation at 1:00 pm. Reservations are required for the lunch and must be made by May 17th (call 235-8462). The cost for lunch is $5 for FCMA members and $8 for non-members; the lecture is free with paid lunch or free with paid Museum admission. The lunch will feature a buffet of fried chicken, sides, desserts, and beverages.
Fort Caspar Museum's hours in May are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Admission prices are $4 for adults; $3 for youth (ages 13-18 years); $3 for seniors (62+ years); and FREE for children (12 years and younger) and for FCMA members.
