CASPER, WY –Sinclair Casper Refining Company, a leading producer of gasoline and diesel in Wyoming, is giving back to the community with a donation of $2,500 to Habitat for Humanity, The Heart of Wyoming.
The generous donation presented by Sinclair will assist hardworking families achieve the dream of homeownership in Natrona County. Habitat homes are not given away but are sold to families who qualify and are willing to make a down payment, put in hundreds of hours of sweat equity labor, and are willing to make a monthly mortgage payment. Habitat homes are affordable because Habitat does not make a profit, the homes are sold with a no-interest loan, and the homes are built by volunteers.
“On behalf of the families that are currently working to build their safe and affordable homes, we are grateful for the support given by Sinclair Casper Refining Company,” said Heidi Maldoon, Habitat for Humanity’s Executive Director. “In addition to Sinclair’s financial gift, we look forward to hosting Sinclair employees at the Harris Crossing Subdivision construction site for a group build day in the near future.”
Support for Habitat for Humanity, The Heart of Wyoming will facilitate construction at the Harris Crossing Subdivision, which will house 13 families in the community. Two homes at the development have been completed, with an additional two houses currently under construction.
