Tween Monday: Rock the Band

Release the dancer or band member within at the Natrona County Library's DDR and Rock Band party! The Natrona County Library invites tweens entering grades 4-6 to come play Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) and Rock Band on the PlayStation 2 on Monday, August 13 at 2 p.m. All supplies provided at no cost. Reading Between the Notes Book Discussion: Bel Canto

The Natrona County Library's summer reading book club will conclude with Ann Patchett's "Bel Canto." Stop by the Library's second floor service desk to register and pick up your copy, and then meet us atthe Libraryready to share, listen, and shop on Monday, August 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Library's music-inspired summer reading program, "Libraries Rock," runs June 1 through August 31. Adults do not need to register but can pick up a summer reading game board at any branch and online. Never Too Old Book Club: Strange the Dreamer

A book discussion of young adult novel "Strange the Dreamer" by Laini Taylor will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Crescent Moon Coffee Stop. The Never Too Old Book Club, sponsored by the Natrona County Library, discusses young adult literature with adult appeal. Serger Project: 90-Second Napkins
Friday, August 17

Learn how to use the Natrona County Library's serger to make quick and easy rolled-hem napkins on Friday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 to 4 p.m. in the Creation Station. Register online at bit.ly/napkin10am for the 10 a.m. session and bit.ly/napkin2pm for the 2 p.m. session. Limit of 6 participants per session. The Library's Creation Station, open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 to 5 p.m., is a flexible, community, collaborative makerspace for individuals and small groups who can use STEAM-related (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) supplies and equipment to bring their inventions and creations to life. Cinema At The Station Featuring SING

David Street Station continues its summer movie series on Friday, August 17. This month's feature, in partnership with Natrona County Library, takes place in a city of humanoid animals, where a hustling theater impresario's attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists find that their lives will never be the same. There will be pre-movie fun starting at 6 p.m. including games, activities, and crafts. The movie will begin at 7 p.m., so arrive early to claim your spot!
